The Shelby Mustang is a high-performance version of the Ford Mustang built by Shelby American from 1965 to 1967 and later by the Ford Motor Company from 1968 to 1970. 1967 was the first year of the GT500, it being powered by a 428 ci (7.0L) Ford FE Police Interceptor V8 with two four-barrel Holley carburetors; the engine produced about 355 horsepower. Several parts of the car, such as the hood, front end and decklid, were made of fiberglass. 2,048 were produced for 1967.
This casting is noticeably smaller than the Modern Classics '67 Shelby GT500.
